1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to reduce the 'Wage and Means Advances' (WMA) for states and union territories from Rs 51,560 crore to Rs 47,010 crore.
2. WMAs are temporary advances that RBI gives to the government in case of any mismatch in receipts and payments.
3. The WMA limit for the Government of India has been fixed at Rs 1,50,000 crore for the first half of the financial year 2022-23.
