Today we are going to give you the collection of most important Vocabularies(Word-Meaning) and its Synonym & Antonym  from India's reputed News Paper The Hindu. We suggest you to read it on Daily Basis and note down it in your Notebook.

1. Abolish(अबोलिस) : समाप्त करना : formally put an end to (a system, practice, or institution).

Synonym : Terminate, Stop

Antonym : Retain, Creat

Uses : Law was finally abolished by an amendment


2. Privy(प्रिवी) : गुप्त, रहस्य्मय : sharing in the knowledge of (something secret or private).

Synonym : Secret, Confidential 

Antonym : Clueless, Ignorant 

Uses : he was no longer privy to her innermost thoughts


3. Amendment(अमेंडमेंट) : संशोधन, सुधार : a minor change or addition designed to improve a text, piece of legislation, etc.

Synonym : Rectification, Correction, Reclamation, Revision 

Antonym : Restriction 

Uses : he sought an amendment to his contract


4. Vindicate(विंडिकेट) : साबित कर देना : clear (someone) of blame or suspicion.

Synonym : Prove, Reassert, Idorse

Antonym : Blame, convict

Uses : hospital staff were vindicated by the inquest verdict


5. Dissent(डिसेंट) : मतभेद, असहमति : the expression or holding of opinions at variance with those previously, commonly, or officially held.

Synonym : Disagreement, Non-consent  

Antonym : Agreement, Acceptance 

Uses : there was no dissent from this view


6. Quintessential(क्विंटसेंसिअल) : सर्वोत्कृस्ट, सारमय : representing the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class.

Synonym : Prototypical

Antonym : Inferior, Normal, Average

Uses : he was the quintessential tough guy—strong, silent, and self-contained


7. Sedition(सेडिशन) : राजद्रोह, विद्रोह : conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.

Synonym : Insurgency, Rebellion

Antonym : Calm, Peace

Uses : No police charged us with sedition


8Portray(पोर्ट्रे/पोर्टरे) : चित्रित करना : This book portray the actor as a selfish person

Synonym : Depict, Impersonate, Enact

Antonym : Misstate, Distort, Misrepresent

Uses : Politician should think before portraying any community.


9. Instigate(इंस्टिगेट) : भड़काना, उकसाना : Provoke or Stir up someone

Synonym : Prompt, Incite, Abet

 Antonym : Halt, Prevent


10. Apparent(आपरेंट/अप्रेन्ट) स्पस्ट,प्रतक्ष्य : Clearly revealed to the mind

Synonym : Manifest, Evident, Unmistakable

Antonym : Unclear, Obscure

Uses : Apparently something had been discussed in our absence.
