1. Badminton player and Olympian PV Sindhu is the only sportsperson featuring in the Forbes India's maiden 'tycoons of tomorrow' list. This is a list of 22 young achievers in the fields of business, acting and sports. 

बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी एवं ओलंपिक पदक विजेता पी.वी.सिंधु एकमात्र खिलाड़ी हैं जिन्हें फोर्ब्स इंडिया की ‘भविष्य के प्रभावशालियों’ की पहली सूची में जगह मिली है। इस सूची में कारोबार, अभिनय तथा खेल क्षेत्रों के 22 सफल युवाओं को जगह दी गयी है। 

2. Charles K. Kao, who won a Nobel Prize in physics in 2009 for optical fiber technology, died. He was 84. 

ऑप्टिकल फाइबर टेक्नोलॉजी के लिए 2009 में भौतिकी का नोबेल पुरस्कार जीतने वाले चार्ल्स के. काव का निधन हो गया। वह 84 वर्ष के थे।

पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और कांग्रेस नेता शांताराम पोटदुखे का हाल ही में निधन हो गया। वह 86 वर्ष के थे।
